Hardware Build #3 Is A Totally Different Handset

Just picked up my replacement at Radio Shack this evening and all I can say is version 2 and 3 are like having two different handsets. Version 3 has a different rear frame, a totally different battery door and a totally different battery. The list goes on. The vibration is MUCH MUCH better very strong the screen is brighter and whiter looking (more vibrant) The digitizer in now sub phone frame ALL AROUND, the battery door has more attachment points to it so it fits much better but is harder to take off now. The whole back of the phone is also a different color its a rubberized flat black now. More to come.

PS screen rotation is almost instantaneous now no lag at all.

lag when turning the evo sideways, and sometimes the phone will not turn back on for a while after turning it off......
You need to calibrate the g sensor.

setting, sound and display, and g-sensor calibration.

Just place it on a flat surface and hit calibrate.

Does wonders to eliminate lag.

Just picked up a version 3 tonight. Here are my differences from my version 2.

Version 2:
Very dark Silverish battery door cover.
Screen has very bright whites, almost has a warmer tone to it.
Sleep button is resessed.
Moderate light leakage.
Screen is slightly above bezel

Version 3:
Mate black battery door cover.
Screen has a washed out white, almost has a cooler tone to it.
Sleep button is perfect
Very minor light leakage.
Screen is below bezel

Hmmm....what to do what to do? The light leakage is still slightly present, however a perfect sleep button is a good thing. My gripe is with the white tones...Im a fan of the warmer whites that are a little whiter with an almost pinkish tone.
Back to testing it out, post later.
