Accessories HTC 2150 + Dremel + VZW Red Case

I purchased the black silicone case along with my extended battery after seeing this mod. I cut out the back and popped it on.

While it provides adequate protection, the phone was overall too bulky for my tastes. Hate the bulge from the battery and with the case, it was way too much. So I just go back to being naked. I love throwing money away!

Yes, please post pictures.

I was going to return the 2150 and get the Seidio 3500 and do this, but now I'm wary.

I suggest you keep the 2150 and purchase a Nexus One sleeve for $15. That's what I wanted to do, except I was worried about dropping the phone while handling it, during which the sleeve is obviously not on the phone and hence there's no protection.

FYI, here are some pics of another users red case. I am still interested in seeing MOONS black case since that is what I own. Plus, I'm curious to see if the black case further helps to hide the hump, visually.

I've been wanting to purchase the HTC extended battery for a while now but having the phone naked was not an option, especially not being able to holster it. So thanks to the OP for sharing this awesome idea!

Here's my version of the holster combo with the extended battery. I'm craftsmanship challenged so it's not the best looking finished product but it does serve the purpose for me, which is to have somewhat of protection + ability to holster the phone + have the awesome battery life.

I just noticed something - on the extended VZW battery cover, it now covers the red metal ring around the camera lens as well as makes the LED flashes inset into the back.

Isn't this basically an admission that the original back design was flawed in that it allowed the phone to rest on the lens? If not, why change the battery cover design now, especially when you don't really need to because the additional bulk of the battery itself prevents this problem???

Anyway, I was thinking how much better it might look with that red trim ring showing around the lens to break up all that black.

Maybe mod the back of the case to make the hole a bit bigger to show the red accent of the ring??
