The Official "I got mine" thread.

There is a total of 4GB of storage, after ICS and Sense is loaded there is approximately 1GB left for user storage. Contrast that with the Widfire S which DOES have 1GB of storage and barely leaves the user with ~120 MB.

That's a little disappointing. I was hoping for more storage so I could load it with any and all apps I wanted to without having to ever worry about running out of room. The only smartphone I've ever had is my Optimus V and we all know that has the same problem as the Wildfire, a cripplingly low amount of internal memory. Hopefully 1gb internal with my 16gb sd card will be enough.

1GB dedicated to apps is a LOT of storage..

especially considering big apps like games will download their content to the SD and that cannot be changed (exmaple: games like modern combat, which you cannot tell it where to store the games content)

its really, REALLY hard to use up that 1gb, considering how small individual apps are. your home screens / app drawer would be overloaded and lag in loading all the app icons before the internal storage would be filled.

can someone plz tell me why i still cant send text msgs nor sruf the web without wi-fi it only takes me to the virgin site. got this phone at 11am and its 11pm now so the 4 hour wait is over to say its that

My sister got the Blackberry Curve last year and this same thing happened for the entire first month. Strangely, when she topped up after her first month, within minutes the 3G internet started working. Still can't wrap my head around it.

Call customer service and have them do a manual programming to make it activate again. If it still isn't working tell them to check your account and make sure that none of the features are set to disabled.

Even though we as dealers and customers, can't see this menu, there is actually a way to disable single services like text/web/etc.

Sometimes these features become disabled when certain ESN's appear. I'm thinking it's because most (if not all) of these phones were once in Sprints system. Because of this a lot of you are experiencing problems. They may show duplicate ESN numbers, One still on Sprint, one on Virgin Mobile.

Same thing happens sometimes when they replace phones through insurance. An ESN number is showing up as a duplicate or not on their system at all because it didn't transfer it properly.

I've had this problem in my store quite a bit. It can be a hassle I know. I'm wondering how hard mine will be to activate... At least I'm a dealer though. Heh.

I usually don't listen to all the accessories hype from the sales folks, especially at Radio Shack, however in this case they did point out that the original HTC rubber skin is only 8 bucks in-store. Although I don't usually use a device case, as I can't slide the phone into my pocket as easily, I might make an exception for this one.

Yeah the guy I got this from in RS was selling cases and insurance hard.. For the price of the one oem case he had there I got all I needed for this phone on Amazon.. Wonder what I'll spend the insurance money on lol..

I have Cello vertical cases for the OV and the Evo fits but hangs out the top by a 1/2 inch and that's all she's getting till the armor gets here.. That said this would work well and may be all some need.. I order 2 at a time and have 2 more on the way in the new babies bigger size..

Anyone who picked it up in store, could you also give us an idea of where you are located?

I purchased mine at Radio Shack in Charleston WV. It is Sprint branded with Virgin Mobile firmware. They had it in the back but not on the shelves. No Otterbox for it but I bought a silicon case for the HTC EVO 3D.

I had a little trouble activating this phone. After a call to tech support I removed the battery for 20 minutes. After that the phone booted and activated itself without any further issues.

That's what I had to do as well. Kind of a pain. When I setup my voice mail it said it is Sprint too.

I'll definitely take your guys' word for it since, as I mentioned, I've only ever owned the Optimus V. But I've always filled every amount of memory I've ever had, including my 160gb iPod and my 2TB external hard drive. I'm not a super crazy app user, though, but that's mainly because I've had to uninstall 70% of the apps I've downloaded due to having no room for them.

To the people that have their Evo, how is ICS with Sense 3.6 so far?

No issues with ICS and I am using Go Launcher EX instead of Sense. To any Go launcher users, GL runs smoothly with no lag on this device but it has restarted itself a couple times after installing new apps.

I got mine yesterday from a local Radio Shack. I called ahead and they happened to have one in back, so I rushed over to buy it. The phone has exceeded my expectations so far. 4G works great, 3D photos look great, Mobile Hotspot works better than expected.

As soon as they activated it, I called Virgin Mobile to cancel my order, but was told that they couldn't cancel because it was already in the process of being shipped. They said I should refuse the package when it arrives this week.

Fedex just dropped mine off. Got it on the charger and my plan resets tomorrow so I still have to wait to activate it. It's Sprint branded as are all others, seems that RS was able to get all of the phones that were in country at the time. It is much smoother and the display is sharper than the Triumph.

How long was it from RS site before it changed from Item(s) located in stock to actually shipped out?

Today at 7:30 am my status changed from pending order to items located in stock when can i expect that status to change? later this evening? It said that at 7:30 am and it is now allready 4:30 PM and status is unchanged. Just curious how much longer before it is shipped out.
