I'm not getting LTE on Carbon Rom. should i revert back to MD7? I was originally on it, but recently upgraded to MG2.

If you flashed the fix then you might need to go to settings/more/mobile networks/access point name and make sure lte is selected and also network mode is lte/cdma/evdo.

I'm on Carbon's 11/5/13 nightly with lte.

Is anyone else on Carbon rom unable to get the camera to open? It says gallery has stopped every time. I have reflashed and tried restoring camera/gallery backups and nothing works.

I got mms working but only by manually setting it up in handcent.

edit: ok I don't know why but I went into google goggles and that camera worked. I then went into google keep and opened the camera from within that app and it also worked. I tried to open the camera app after taking a pic in google keep and it actually works now. Just rebooted and it still is good. :proud:

Maybe I just needed to save a pic in the gallery location, who knows....

I had tried that with no change. But it is working now anyway, thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks this looks like what I want. Backing up now and I'll give it a shot.

aaaaand...nope that broke it. Restoring...

That's crazy. I haven't had a single issue with the camera through multiple versions of carbon and numerous other aosp roms. What gapps are you using?

Edit: may be a bad download of rom.

I'm really hoping we can get mms working. As I said in a previous post, mms sends fine on 3g but won't send at all on 4g. Also, something I forgot to mention was that my data was acting a bit weird. Sometimes I would lose data completely for a few seconds and then it would come back. Also, after the data went away I would get an error saying (I cant remember exactly what it said) " something something stopped working."

I decided to flash back to my previous rom (punkmaxx's slim rom) until someone can get this sorted out.

Sorry for the late reply but here ya go.

Carbon Rom nightlies:

Carbon: http://download.carbon-rom.comd2spr/nightly

For MMS send/ receive and working LTE, flash the Mod #1 from this thread. Thanks to these brilliant developers and helpful members, this works perfectly for me.

For me with 11/5 nightly Carbon and fix #1
3G works,
mms send works,
mms receive doesn't work

(i have latest firmware)

11/5 Carbon nightly camera is working fine for me, as is Focal camera.

I did try creating an additional user, and then when that user tried to use the camera it did do what you described, but that's probably something different just thought I'd mention it.

I wish Carbon would add in the user stuff into their version as well, like you get with tablet versions of android. neway

Strange. Im on build 11/1. Maybe that particular build that you are on is preventing this apn mod fix from working somehow. I can't see why it would though. Are you on the stock kernel? I would maybe try wiping everything except your internal and external sd card and reflashing. I hate to say that and I know it's tedious, but it sometimes fixes many problems like this.

thanks for the reply. Actually I was skimming the thread and your post about it working on carbon with #1 caught my eye as 4g isn't even supposed to work with #1 fix.

After your comment about apn fix, i went back further and saw the note to:

>If you flashed the fix then you might need to go to settings/more/mobile networks/access point name and make sure lte is selected and also network mode is lte/cdma/evdo.

which I gather is whatcha meant by apn fix, missed it before.

After doing that likewise lte/4g works now.

With lte/4g on I can:

send sms: yes
receive sms: yes
send mms: yes
receive mms: no

Just giving feedback in hopes it helps those working on this, I can work around not having full mms.

Good! Glad to see you got it working...minus the mms receiving. Hopefully with official 4.3 coming soon (to sprint), these problems will soon be a thing of the past.
