Get a dropbox account and keep the photos in dropbox . that has a lock code or try a apk called Gallery lock. Located in any android app store : Gallery Lock
I suggest Quickpic because you can put it in a folder with a numeric lock on it. The HTC gallery will hide photos as well. But it does not require a password or number to open that folder in the media gallery.
Google and android also do not support (allow) folk to get a pure digital signal out of the USB port to play music...so at least one app maker (USB Audio Player Pro) makes an app that ignored the android limitations and lets folk send their music directly to an outboard Digital to Analogue Converter, making much better music....Eventually some app maker will write code to ignore the Android restrictions and let folk do what they desire with there own phones. Imagine how much money there is to be made for the first folk who market a bloatware removal tool that does not require rooting!
I use Applock. Its amazing, you can keep apps specifically locked, and apart from that, you can send videos and photos to the applock vault. So you can have the "Gallery" locked, and you can send pictures and videos to the vault so you can only access them from the app.
i'd love to see this become a built-in function for android. in settings alongside the notification blocker, have a "Lock app" checkbox. not just for porn, either. my wife's not what one would call technically savvy, so i'd love to be able to install and lock things like titanium, so that if necessary, i can go into it and change things, but she can't go in there and mess with crap that'll break her phone. or when your friends steal your phone, only to find messaging locked. or locking banking apps. or locking porn.
i know that you can lock your whole phone down, but sometimes that's not ideal, especially with status bar widgets. i'd love to lock my phone, but still be allowed to turn on bluetooth and pandora from my status bar widget.
i use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bartat.android.elixir for a 7-slot custom widget on my status bar. i suggest it to everyone who has an android phone, it's just so nice to have wireless, bluetooth, flashlight, GPS and pandora immediately available without them taking up homescreen space.
