Root [MetroPCS] stock T-mo galaxy s4 rom on metro s4

I have tried and tried to find out how to "flash" and i got the folder of odin on my sd but i have no clue on how to even get it to work.
is there a noob step by step (with links for stuff needed) guide cuase there is a nice minions rom i would love to get on my phone. (it's at xda for tmobile s4). So i am hoping i can get this so i can use that. (next step would be to learn to flash a rom..lmao)

In order to flash custom roms, you must be rooted and have a custom recovery installed.

The [Unofficial] MetroPCS S4 Root Information Thread has all the info and links you need to begin flashing.

1) Root your phone. There are a couple of different methods to do this. The [Unofficial] MetroPCS S4 Root Information Thread has them.

2) Flash a custom recovery. This is what you flash custom roms with. There are a few to choose from, I personally use one called TWRP. You'll find them all at the [Unofficial] MetroPCS S4 Root Information Thread.

3) Flash a rom. Choose a custom rom and follow the flashing instructions that they recommend. Make sure the rom is for your device!! In our case, the Metropcs S4, most of what you'll flash, was developed for the tmobile S4 but works with our S4 too (because the two devices are almost identical).

Have at it :)

so i can flash 4.4.2 by odin to my s4 metro pcs without problems??
Depends on what you mean by problems. The phone will work as intended except youll have a Tmobile branded operating system. That means you wont have the metropcs apps that come with the phone and many use the Mymetro app to pay their bills from the device. You won't get that app with the tmobile firmware. Also, there's no way I'm aware of to go back to the metropcs software. Flash the tmobile 4.4.2 firmware and you wont be able to downgrade to the metropcs firmware (which is still on 4.3). Other than that it will work fine.

Alternately, you can simply install a custom recovery, like TWRP, and then just flash any tmobile 4.4.2 rom instead of the whole tmobile firmware. You get all kinds of different custom roms to choose from with this method and also the option to backup the current metropcs operating system. As long as you back up the stock metropcs system with TWRP, you can simply restore it back later.

Lastly, tmobile just released another firmware update to their S4 (still no word from metropcs on an update though). The new firmware is now 4.4.4. There will be custom roms made from it comming soon.

For what is is worth I have the Metro version of the S4 I got tired of waiting for kitkat thru metro so I flashed T-mobiles kit kat over was not rooted or anything.
This is the guide I used. http://androidforums.com/metropcs-g...4-install-4-4-2-tw-metro-m919n-how-guide.html
make sure you follow the directions and you should be okay. And remember myself nor anyone on the BB is responsible if you brick your phone
My S4 was was a M919n and now had kitkat (T-Mobile)
