Hello All,
I have a Moto G play and want to download videos from it to my PC. When I plug it into the usb on my pc my file manager will recognize the phone, but won't show any of the files. Also when I ask it to download photos and vids it says there aren't any there, but I know there are. Can anyone help me out here.
Thanks,
Ken
PS I hope I'm in the right forum. Move it if need be. Tnx

Although this area isn't for the Moto G Play, the first thing I would try is to rebuild the databases... MTP is the modern way of accessing Android devices, and their internal storage cannot be accessed directly, rather through a proxy connection and all content is not seen, only what's in the database.

First, disconnect your device from the computer. Now go to Settings, Apps, and tap the 3-Dot menu and select Show System. Now scroll down and find External Storage and Media Storage, open each one and tap Storage, and then Clear Data. Once that is done, power off and back on and wait at least 5 minutes after the phone appears completely booted, then reconnect to your PC and try again.

EDIT: Make sure to read @mikedt suggestions below first, I just assumed on those.
