So i have been trying to root my s6 running nougat 7.0 using apps such as kingoroot but non work. The problem i have is my usb has stopped working ( no usb options and no fast charge) i have tried usb debugging and the *#0808# and non of it works i have also tried 4 different usb cables including the one that came with it and the one from my tablet. I know that nougat is whats stopping kingo from working so can i roll back my android version without a pc? Plix halp

This might be a stupid suggestion but have you used a different usb slot on your pc? Logic says to me though that if you can charge your phone then the connector on your phone is fine and it's the one on your pc that's the problem. If your phone does actually still connect to your pc then I'd go the Chainfire route

The S6 with Nougat 7.x is basically impossible to root and compromise with apps only. Kingroot and other so-called "one click" vulnerability exploit rooting tools won't work.

yea i tried 2 different ports on my laptop, no luck. I have to wiggle to usb around in the phone to get the right angle for it to charge so i had assumed the port was fubarThis might be a stupid suggestion but have you used a different usb slot on your pc?
