I spent the better part of last week rooting and ROMing my buddies Eris. Man it's strange how different these devices are even though they are both Android driven.
Anyhow what I was wondering is if there were any ROMs that stood out from the rest that freed up memory for apps? That device has a dreadfully low amount of internal storage (or at least that's how it feels to me coming from the DX and its 8 gig vault), so I set him up on a ROM that moved the cache to the SD card, or something like that, in order to make room for more apps.
Is there no way to move apps to the SD card on that device? I looked, but couldn't find a way to do it. I will say this, playing around on that device has certainly made me appreciate the DX and all of the memory it has so much more. I can only imagine if I'd owned an Eris for a while I would have been fantasizing about something like the X to come along!
Oh btw, I presented this question in the Eris forum as well. But the responses are rather slow going over there. And having noticed several previous Eris owners on this site in the past, I figured I'd just see what sort of ROMs I could get recommendations from here.
