Crazy ol man

Hi. I an, just as the subject states, a crazy ol man who lives in a world of his own. But that's ok. The people there understand me and some of 'em even like me.

Ok. Now. I'm a freelance automotive photographer and web developer/elf (my business cards say I'm a web elf...so why not?. I used to be a programmer analyst until my health failed. Heart trouble ain't a lotta fun. But I decided to start a 2nd or 3rd career as a photographer. I love it.

Mainly I shoot automotive events: car shows, cruise nights, races and a big part of what I do is on the salt flats. I cover every event along with the fella who owns www.landracing.com . We do live "forumcasts" as things like Speed Week and other meets are going on.

Last year I used a cell modem with my laptop. It was barely adequate. It got my photos on the forum, but rebooting every 2 hours while trying to shoot cars and bikes running anywhere from 150 to 350 mph got to be a pain.

Another thing. I have a Samsung flip phone that I just don't like. So I'm looking into some other alternatives.

Thank you. I was almost able to report that I had a Cliq, but between T-Mobile and WalMart...well, let's just say that I wasn't willing to pay $160 for the device at the T-Mobile store when I could get it for $79 at WalMart. I don't really like buying stuff there, but half price? That's pretty persuasive if ya ask me. I gotta call Amazon and see if I can get their 1 cent deal with a 2 year contract...which doesn't bother me at all.
