Hey Guys..

I have been noticing that a lot of you are trying to install CWM on your phone.

Unfortunately there is no version out there which works on our phone. Will have to wait till someone ports it for our device.

Now for all of you who have screwed up your recovery. Here is the guide to flash the stock recovery

Download recovery - http://www.mediafire.com/?2556t5c2qaw4wwe

1. Make sure you have ADB or the SDK installed.

If you have rooted your phone successfully then you must have it installed.

2. Download the files from this link : platform-tools.rar

3. Extract the downloaded file to a location of your choice

for example - D:\SDK

4. Now go the folder, press the shift button and right click. You would see an option 'Open command prompt here' - click that to open command prompt.

5. Connect your phone switched off to the pc and press the volume down button and the power button for 10 seconds. You should see the micromax logo.

6. In command prompt type "fastboot devices" without quotes and hit enter.

7. you should see something like

List of devices attached
XXXXXXXXXX device

8. Now copy the recovery.img to the same folder you had extracted the files earlier.

9. In the command prompt window, type "fastboot flash recovery stock recovery.img" without quotes and hit enter

10. After you get a confirmation that flash is successful.

11. Remove the phone and boot into recovery. VOILA!! stock recovery :D

Show your appreciation.. Hit the thanks button..

HEY BROTHER ,

SO, new phone ....!

Does it has ICS?

No Bro,

It runs 2.3.5 only but I think ICS on this phone will be easy.

1 GHZ qualcomm processor.. Touch screen response will just WOW you.

The best part about this MMX is that it has no junk files inside..

Do you remember how we had to locate the XML file for the lockscreen?

We had to try one by one.. But this phone has only only the files that is necessary..

So makes our life a lot easier.

I got mine for 5799 and I would say its a steal.

Yup you folks are right.. Micromax has cut down costs by not including a front camera and flash at the rear camera...

But for users like me, it does not matter at all..

Otherwise, the experience so far has been really good. Awesome touch response.

I dont know if these options are available in other models but here is the list that I love the most

1. I will be able to set different caller tune for sim1 and sim 2
2. I will be able to adjust the vibration strength
3. Reject calls with a message
4. Automatic redial and preferred callback
5. Preferred installation location in application settings itself
6. Flip to silent and shake to next in music, fm etc.
7. Horizontal screen resolution
8. Task manager with single tap to close all open application..

I am all game to port it to the A75.. But I need all your help.

First of all, I need to know how to get recovery working on my device - A87

Only then I will be able to get a nandroid backup..

Please let me know anything else I need to do.. I am GAME for it
