Help Help - Desperate - phone seems to have died

HI there

Can anyone help. I have an unlocked, unbranded One X which has been working perfectly since I got it a few moths ago now...(on release day!)
I'm on hols in America, and it seems as if my phone has just dies..it powers up, but is unbelievably slow to load anything at all...i have resetted and resetted ten times now - and I dont know what to do.
I got a message about "android.process.acore not reponding" but it seems to be "working" although its laughably slow and wotn reposnd to button presses etc etc...
Another thing I have noticed is that the time in the top right hand corner is slow - but the HTC time widget is keeping time OK...apart from auto updates, I have not installed anything new....any ideas???

Factory reset will probably do it.
