How to clear my ESN?

Planning on selling my Droid Incredible soon, but in the meantime, looking for all the info I need to prep my phone for sale. What all do I need to clear? I know I need to clear my ESN... how do I do that?

A phone only gets a bad ESN if you report it to be stolen, lost, or you didnt pay your bill. If you didnt do any of that then the ESN is clean.

ohhhh.... so all I need to do is do a factory reset on the phone and I'm good?

And maybe also reformat your SD card, using the phone's built-in utility. That and factory reset should do the trick.

you also need to deactivate it from your line, or the buyer will not be able to activate it on his/her line.

deactivation automatically is done when you activate another phone to your line. This can be done online or in a VZW store

It can take anywhere from 24-48 hours to "officially" be ready for another person to activate, though. I ran into this problem when I bought my Eris over the summer.
