Help Issue In my HTC ONE S

Hey
I had recently got a HTC One S (T-mobile, unlocked) ....
One major issue is that the FACTORY RESET won't work ....
Tried it from the settings & from the hboot screen as well ...
The phone merely restarts .... all apps & data remains as it is ....

Secondly, the software update ....
It worked one time .... and after that whenever i try to update the software ....AGAIN, the phone merely restarts ....

Any views .... REALLy need to sort out my phone.

Can you do this, even if the power button won't work? There lies my problem...

I'm having a similar issue, http://androidforums.com/htc-one-s/757680-volume-down-stuck-cant-get-out-bootloader.html but it's the volume down button thats stuck. I get in to the bootloader but the once I select the option to factory reset, the phone just restarts.
