    Hi,
I'm looking for a music player that allows me to browse music folders and play directly from that view (with fwd, rev, etc). Basically, Rockbox (or similar) for Android.
So far, all my app searches turned up empty. Any suggestions or tips?
    TIA! -ts

If you have an itunes account, sync your music up with it. Then, search for album artwork in the 'advanced' tab.

    Hi,
I released an app that you should like :
    Music Folder Player.

So it's a music player with file browser, and this is compatible with the standard player :
you can make a playlist with this app and control the music through the default player, a desktop widget or the locked screen of your phone (for HTC users).

I've been using MortPlayer, a "Simple to use music player for all those who prefer folder structure over tags." It's still in beta but awesome for those of us who organize our music in folders :p

check out mixzing. You can also specify which folders it looks at. ALSO includes automatic album art downloader, which is brilliant. Lovely UI, best music player on market.

props to Music Folder Player, saw this today is is a decent app.

Meridian or MortPlayer (witch I prefer) are both capable of playing music via the directorys. From Mortplayer there is also a dedicated audiobookplayer app.

I was able to plug my samsung galaxy s into my computer and put music on, but now it does not let me. It does not recognize my phone at all. Did I lock it down somehow?

so i have to put my glasses on to choose a track and off to sing it so i can see the audience making is resizable was very good but because the letters are thin and white i still cant make them out after a few minutes sorry for being a pain i really like the app so much i am using it anyway with on off glasses

I used cover art downloader. Worked great. With both poweramp, Doubletwist, and stock music player.

Poweramp will allow you to browse and play music from a folder view. It will also update your cover art for you. And, on top of that, it is a very fine music player. You have to pay a small amount for the player however it is free to try.

Can't really recommend this one....ads, ads, ADS! ...more ads than music basically. Seems to be becoming an increasing problem these days with some apps, devs getting too greedy and end-up ruining their own apps.

Try NRG Player. NRG Player sort your music collection by folders, songs, albums and artists. You can select your music in any way and even combine it.

    It has quite nice design:

You also can change UI colors to anything you like:

    Or even change skins:
