Root Mytouch Wifi stops working after ROM flash

On my MyTouch 3G 32B, I played around with a few ROMs yesterday, notably a Hero ROM called MghtyMax. Ever since then, WiFi has not worked on ANY ROM. It will scan and see my WiFi router, but when I hit connect, it just says connecting... and drops the connection.

Do you have a wifi tether app on your phone? I have found that my wifi connection on my phone does the exact same thing after i use my wifi tether (barnacle) because the tether app disables the wifi manager. What works for me is to use Advanced Task Killer and kill all apps in the background which kills barnacle and that allows my phone to connect to the wifi again. Hope this helps!
