New samsung s4

Hello

I just bought samsung s4 9500, and I am totaly new in smartphone world, cause I had a very simple nokia 1200.
CAn you please tell me if it is a good phone, if it is a good phone, cause I heared that 9505 or 06 are much better.
And can you tell me please if I can upgrade the OS of my S4 (don't know yet which Android OS is installed) and what free Apps. I have to install, especialy the Apps, working off line (without need to net to use theme)

I think just about any S4 is a fine phone and you'll enjoy it.
To find out what software it's running try this:
From the home screen hit the menu button then click "settings". At the top right click "more" button then scroll down and hit "about phone" Android version and Baseband version are what you want to know.
As far as updating goes, backup one screen, back to the "More" screen and at the bottom press "Software update". At least that's the easiest way to see if there is an update available for your phone.
I'm not sure what you mean about free software without using the net? Do you mean without using the play store? Or, do you mean without using the phone's data plan?

I meant Apps. taht I can use theme on myphone without need to have internet acces.

I also LOVE tasker, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&hl=en it's a automation app that makes my phone do all kinds of things based on location, apps running, or time. It has a STEEP learning curve but once you get it, WOW!
