I rooted my Vibrant two days ago which was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Installed clock work recovery, busybox 1.17.1, quadrant, and have the superuser permissions. I am now getting the hang of this stuff and can't wait to unlock the full potential of the phones I buy from here on out.
I do need help on a few terms and what they are or what they mean.
What is a kernel? How is this different from a rom? What is ODIN and ADB? People say to input things into ADB but I have no idea what it is. Also overclocking makes the device faster correct? how is this possible if the hardware was designed as a 1ghz processor?
