I am in the market for a tablet. I have a Toshiba laptop but would like to use a tablet for e-mail, surfing, reading etc. Could I transfer files like .pps or .doc files from a galaxy to my laptop. Alan

You can do all those things and much more. If there is a specific tablet you areconsidering, you most likely will find discussion in Android Tablets & MIDs - Android Forums. Make sure you try to actually try one out before you buy. Many of the large retail electronics chains have working displays of the best selling models.
