not able to download/update apps

I am having sony ericsson arc s mobile. since few days iam not able to update/install apps using google play store.When download is completed it is showing invalid package file.
i have done following exercise

1> Go to App> Manage App > Google Play > Clear Cache & Data and also Download Manager Clear Data

2> Factory Resetting phone .
I am not able to reboot my phone ( I do not know how to do it)
