Root Please help me with rooting

What can I do to root an unlocked S-ON Wildfires S (GSM)

It says that my HBOOT version is 1.08.0099

The link you posted earlier for revolutionary.io does not appear to support this HBOOT version and it states that it is compatible with HTC Wildfire but does not specifically mention Wildfire S

Am I totally screwed unless I am willing to spend

Hi, welcome to the forums! You originally posted in a guide that was for the HTC Evo 3D. I've moved your post to the Wildfire S - All Things Root forum so that you may be able to get specific information for your device. Which may be the problem, as instructions for the Evo 3D may not help you with your Wildfire S.
