Help Power Button!

On my reverb. my power button sometimes gets stuck & it gets hard to push & sometimes just reboots because it pressing for a while. i think like dust or something got in there & is making it get stuck. Do i have to open & clean it?

Mine was exactly just like that for a week and the only way I was able to avoid it getting stuck was hitting the power button when the phone was resting in the palm of my hand. Now it's not doing that anymore and I'm not sure why.

Unfortunately, the power button problem seems to be a design flaw. I have received two replacements due to this problem and the latest is doing the same.

I used a little 3-in-1 lubricant on the end of a toothpick and dabbed it around the edges working it in with a few pushes. Seems to help a lot. I don't have too much trouble with the button as long as I press it from the right side all the time.

Anyone know if a System Setting exists to make the HOME button turn on the screen-- to save using the Power Button??

I previously had an LG Optimus V and always used the HOME button instead of the power button.

I use a screen off app(Screen Off RT) and with one setting I can now close my screen with just a flip of the phone.

I also have a screen on app(Auto Screen On) but I've only managed to get the proximity sensor setting to work so it's no good for me when I'm out(phone in pocket)

There's a "g-sensor" setting but I have yet to figure out how to get it working.

I'd love a fully functional app that used motion for both on and off!

Edit: just tried the "g sensor" and it works!
