you can do pretty much everything with windows 7 except build cm and shit like that...but if you wanna play with linux you could follow tuts to install dual boot..use 7zip apk tool..x ultimate for de odexing.....sdk for adb and fastboot and lots of other stuff ....theres all kinds of crap
 
everything is great except wifi and wifi tether are not working. got anything to fix that?

the both will say "turning on" and stick there

wifi works for sure..directions for getting it to connect in the OP..tether im not sure about
 
Hello, I have a friend who just got root, and I installed this Rom. What is needed to run app2sd? I have never looked into it, but I think it is Dark Tremors that is the one I want. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't seem to get multimedia messages on 3g. I know there is an issue on wifi but I wasn't sure for 3g
 
It didn't seem to work. I still can't get the attachment. Also the file recreated itself, I assume it was supposed to do that

Yes it is supposed to recreate itself. Admittedly a generic fix, but i don't recall anyone else (including myself) having this problem, so i threw it out there. It's the first thing i do when mms is screwed up. Try customer service... Maybe there is an outage in your area. (If not, you could try a fresh installation of the ROM)

Edit-you didn't mention that you received it, and couldn't dl the attachment... my suggestion was for not being able to receive (or send) mms. You probably just need the person to resend the message :)

It has happened to me. I could NOT receive mms on 3G I had to download gosms so in thinking it has something to do with the configuration in the apn file. It can send AND receive but WILL NOT DOWNLOAD. I tried many things with no luck. Use go SMS bud.;)

yeah.. not able to download attachments either
press the download button and it just stays 'pushed in' or it pops back out... nothing happens

I replace the stock messenger with handcent every time. Maybe that why i didn't see the issue...

Has anyone tried this with FE16 bb? Just curious because I got significantly better 3g performance on stock ROM with it... I wasn't sure if it was known to not work or if it just hadn't been explored yet. Anyways I'm going to try it just to see, and let you know.. Hopefully I didn't miss a post about this :/


EDIT: it works fine with FE16 for me... 3g is pretty fast and all that, but i keep getting random force closes here and there. Not too bad though compared to when I have tried other Roms.
 
First of all I just want to say thanks to all the devs who put their hard work into this awesome rom. The only problem that I have with it is that a2sd isn't recognizing my partitions correctly. I have a 1 gb ext4, & a 1gb swap partition on a 16gb card. But for some reason a2sd says my ext4 is only 200mb with only 2 free. I have tried fresh installs and refomated them with same results. Any one have any suggestions?

the app has never read the partitons properly on this device. all the way back to the froyo days. all other functions work. the easiest solution i can give you is to open the terminal emulator and use the command df.
mmcblk0p2 will be the sd-ext partition.

if you search a bit you can find apps on the market which will give you a graphical depiction of your true storage use as well.

i'll look into the reason for the app not displaying properly next week while i'm on vacation.
 
It won't let me download on prevail from market say it incompatible. Try aptoide or search for the .zip if that happen to u. It a .zip not a .apk

now we do have a few small issues with the stock browser..it has some quirks..its kinda slow and laggy and the pinch and zoom seems to have trouble adjusting after a change..downloading large zips from the stock browser on the ROM can prove difficult..all the problems i am certain are issues with the browser..but could otherwise look like a signal issue

mine was doing the exact same thing, if i dont turn off my wifi before im out of its reach, it wont switch my 3g back on

i like it alot lol. I've been hunting in the shadows for quite some time now but just recently made a profile so i can give some thanks. cm9 seems real jittery but so far nothing crashed for me. and theres this glitch with the system settings/wifi toggle. it wouldnt turned on by just simply pressing it and inputting the wep key. actually its a pita to turn it on. but after a while i manage to turn it on lol camera doesnt work but thats already known. good work! cant wait for more updated versions!
