Root Thanks for all involved in CIQ removal

Considering the phone has a microphone and a camera, and if any of you can recall that they installed some app that lets them remotely control the phone, plus the CIQ, you can understand why this should be removed.

So we are all gratefull to Bloodawn for removing this for us.

Bloodawn was inspired to do this, after he found some naughty videos of himself with a chicken on the internet, that were some how recorded from his phone.

That is why he named his ROM CTMOD

Thanks for the link. I guess we are fortunate in that the Prevail comes as pretty much vanilla Android minus a few apps which bloat the OS. From what I've read on that security breach is that so called features like HTC's "Sense" UI and Samsung's "Touchwiz" UI are to blame. These launchers have a gapping hole in them, which also doesn't help in regard to updates for Android OS since these have to be updated as well. Part of the reason it takes so long for certain contract phones to even receive updates.

Original equipment manufacturers OS manipulation are definitely the culprit here. So now we know that not just the carriers are causing issues(thanks to their love of CIQ). The actual manufacturers(Motorola, HTC, Samsung, who essentially are the majority of the market) are as well. Thankfully none of the prepaid smartphones so far come with these embedded UI's installed.

Running ctmod, and I just read this, and stopped... looked at my phone sitting on my desk, and I swear it moved... Bloodawn are you watching me too? I am not chicken. But I love your rom. Not in any fowl way.

Sent a mail to ZTE, and confirmed with them no CIQ bundled in Warp. :p
Good deal im glad they left the warp alone.. No telling what others are not lucky and have this installed.. just hope something is done about it soon so all dev's are not worrying bot
