Transfering music help

I've had my Eris since it was released, come to this forum every day but I dont post very much.. anyways.. I got the OTA on Sunday, everything is good except I tried transferring new songs to my phone and they wont show up. When I connect to my pc and go to the music folder the new songs are there but after I disconnect and go to my music the new songs aren't showing up. I've tried rebooting, I've tried unmounting the SD card but no luck. The songs I had on there before are there but the new songs wont show up.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

try making a new play list or adding them to a play list

Here's what worked for me (strange as it is).
Open the music app, bring up your songs list (not albums or artists). Under Menu select shuffle and play all. After it plays the first song take a look at the list again, if it worked like mine all of your songs will now be listed.
