I am not watching the event I just read it on Cnet.

The Samsung Galaxy S III comes to Europe later this month, though you almost certainly won't see it in the U.S. until December. CNET's got the full specs and hands-on impressions

This looks better than the One-X, but I dont know if it's better enough to wait for. Course that all depends how long of a wait, which we dont even know yet.

I'm pleased with the screen size, they didn't pull a Galaxy Nexus, big diagonal number but small actual screen (nexus screen is smaller than a skyrocket side by side), on us. So that's good. Pentile is bad, but no big.

Probably the biggest thing I'm worried about (if I choose One-X) is losing awesome samsung software like Kies Air for easy connecting to my PC over Wi Fi in a browser, and All Share though I've barely played with that. Does HTC have equivalent to such software?

They won't. the US carriers have not been confirmed, and are an absolute pain...which is why there will not be a global release like they wished for

There are several market solutions for this. I won't have the X in hand until next week but I am sure they have something along those lines

December release here would mean low sales and almost not worth it. They are behind already as HTC is releasing similiar hardware now. Even a release in 2 months is behind, half a year would mean you can't get the volume for the price you will want.

Samsung has always been really generous in the past on these issues, which is one of the reasons why I prefer them.

Pentile screen is a bit bummer. But it's still better than One X to me because it has removable battery and sd slot. Screen is pretty much only thing One X got over this.

Now the next big question is spec and release schedule for US. If that's not answered today, I guess the rumors/leaks on that will continue.

HTC Sync Manager

Not exactly the same. And I wasn't too fond of it's predecessor, HTC Sync. Don't know if it's comparable to Kies, as I've never used Kies, but looks similar.

pop up play is pretty cool...hopefully that can be yanked out and put on other devices

shutter lag has been a huge issue on samsung devices...will be interesting to see how much faster it takes photo (huge issue on my note)

I think the S3 looks really awesome. I wish they'd gone 5.3" and tried to get that 1080p Display resolution... but that was wishful thinking.

Love the larger battery, hate the pentile display. Overall, I think it'll be a very nice phone but probably not my next device.

I'll keep waiting for that perfect phone to come along with the precise specifications in a display I'm looking for.

Hoping for a Galaxy Note 2 or something akin to an updated version of the European Galaxy Tab. The one that had full phone & text messaging functionality.

I currently have the one X but I think I will be switching now after seeing the SIII.

SIII has bigger battery, removable battery, and SD card slot. Camera seems to be same now that Samsung has burst mode.

One X screen only thing it has going for itelf now.

But now the Evo 4g LTE matches up pretty good with the SIII. ALsmost same specs in the EVO 4g LTE

Looks like I'll be waiting for the next big phone. Huge disappointment. Its a nice phone, but the hardware is underwhelming as is the design. They should really hire some of these phone concept artists. Not a fan of S Sound or any of the other stuff.

Just another gimmick-y phone. Nothing ground breaking at all.

This does make sense.

Take Sprint for example, They are releasing the EVO 4G lte in 3 weeks. Which will put them right in line for a late June release of the SIII.
