Think you can do a batch restore of em with tibu. With Appkik you can go into the dir it saves them too and just run the apk's. May be similar with tibu too.

Download TiBu from the Market and do a restore app only.

go to settingscyanogenMod settings tap applications and put a check in the box for Allow application moving.

I went to my local metro corporate store and was told to go to "huaweius/support" I tried every WWW combo to no avail. This was after reading that the 2.2 update was available.. I was told at the store that the "upgrade" was the TapouT phone... Anyone got the rom from one?

Dont listen to the workers at metro, they know nothing about the update. Just continue to post here and be informed by one of the androidforums members.

I called cricket corporate office today and the guy told me it is coming for cricket but there is not ETA on it as they get it when huawei decides to give it to them all they now is that they were told it will be here but there had to be some minor changes done to it. wonder what that could be?.

branding, bloatware, disable any features they do not want to support.

Welcome to the forums!

Root is basically the same as administrator on a pc.

The bloatware was installed as admin, so you need root access to remove it.

every since I flashed to cm6 when my screen is black for awhile it doesn't turn back on the lights at the bottom of the phone come on but not the screen have to pull the battery for it to work :-(

Of course, Metro has to get all the money possible from the tapout edition before releasing the update for the original ascend

2.2 tapout ascend looks the same, lags the same, feels the same. It really sucked. Played with one today and the are just as slow as 2.1 i think it is a rip off. good thing i flashed to cm6

cm6 or cm7? Using cm6 now and like it but does cm7 run better?

best way is to install it...but i like em' both but im currently running cm7 and the only bug that i seen is no camcorder but everything else is flawless...i say give it a try, plus a set cpu is built into it letting you over clock to 710.

yes cm6 is clock to 710 with setcpu but 600 is default, cm7 is set to 600 default but you can change it in cyanogenMod setting, without setcpu.
