first they have to update SenseUI to work with 2.2. it's gonna be a while. it's really not even officially released for the Nexus One. so once it's released for the N1 i would say anywhere from 2-6 months after.
Just read on android.com that 2.2 is expected to be out Very soon, although would agree with previous poster that w/ sense it might take a little longer. Although the evo sales will help our cause in this matter i believe.

it was May 22 actually (i'm using it right now). but what was actually released was a "test" version that was only sent to the first batch of N1's that were given out to press, google employees, etc. Once someone got the DL location everyone was able to DL and manually install it. There's still gonna be another OTA update that goes out to the N1 masses once they fix the few bugs they find. After that you'll start to see other devices start to be updated; Moto Droid will probably be the first after the N1.
The sample vids need some serious image stabilization.I have a 720p small cam and the vids look very similar.Very shaky unless you steady your hand on some thing solid.
