dont you mean double postingPosting from my A101 =)
Biggest change from my ipod seems to be that you need to aim a little lower when typing. The ipod needs you to hit the keys exactly. I suppose this is actually more natural since I kept hitting the lower keys when I first started using the ipod.

I asked my guy @ hotmp3, he says hes still waiting for the 101 to come in, said hell update the webpage as soon as they get their shipment.
having just won a M17Xr2 on ebay, im thinking of cancelling mine to help pay for that. Dont want to sit here and wait another 2-3 weeks for it to arrive...BHPhoto still says Dec.. wonder what they know other people dont.
ill be waiting for your reply. if its not gonna be for 2 week im gonna cancel my order tooi'm waiting on a reply from him to let me know how long it will be so i'll know if i need to cancel or not. i'm hoping it will be next week so i won't need to cancel.

just picked up an alienware laptop, having both is nice, but not to my wallet
Well i guess that's it. I wanted to get one but if its gonna be another 2 weeks plus...something else might come along that's better... might get it for xmas instead of my bday lolhe replied to me earlier, didn't mention about the delay directly but in my email i said that if it was gonna be delayed another 1-2 weeks i would need a refund. he replied back with "i will refund you in full and cancel your order" and did so immediately. now i am just going to keep an eye on the archos website and try to snag a a70 from there, some were available last week. really whichever comes available the 70 or 101 i will grab one. archos.com ships from colorodo i believe plus it would be easier for an rma. i'm not giving up on archos just yet but i don't like having my money tied up on a preorder that has no eta.
TigerDirect has sent out another update stating Nov 15 is when they will receive some 8GB units. This was after they had said Nov 19.
I hope this indicates that vendors in the US will receive stock on Monday Nov 15 and start shipping.
no word on 16gb though? last i heard the 16gb were a week behind the 8TigerDirect has sent out another update stating Nov 15 is when they will receive some 8GB units. This was after they had said Nov 19.

Hopefully I can get the 250GB 70!
Yeah I wish they made high capacity SSD in these tablets, as I'd prefer the battery life, speed, and no moving parts, but it's my only option as I'm using it as my mp3 player and want to have all 170GB of music with me all the time.i thought about it but i don't really want a disk drive in a tablet. i'm gonna get either the 70 or 101 8gb, still can't decide...leaning towards the 101 its only $25 more
The samsung is a nicer device overall but the price along with it being tied to carrier and data plan equals a no go for me.
i'm waiting for some good non-biased reviews myself. the reviews at archosfans are mostly by archos fanbois and i need one by phandroid, android central, engadget, boygenius or a reputable website. some of what i'm getting is it has a somewhat cheap build quality, if you say anything like that at archosfans they will jump all over you for downing an archos product but i want to know the truth..
I don't own an archos device and never have. I have been seriously browsing for reviews of android 2.2 tablets available for over a month now. Watching videos, searching write ups... After looking at everything from the Chinese cheapies, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and the Archos products, I cannot say that I will be shelling out any money for the others. Archos 70 and 101 are both about the sweetest piece of hardware and software in a tablet available right now. The design is the thinest and sleekest...the battery life is beating the samsung hands down. The smoothness of navigation and ability to port to TV via HDMI, also the USB options, make these archos tablets stand alone from the group. And the price tag is half or less than half of the competitors. The reviews are out there. Once you see them there really isn't any comparison left to make.
