Blaze help, please!

I do have the Cincy Bell blaze and it is my first "smartphone."

I am wondering:

1) do all Android phones work basically the same? Meaning if I see a tip that sounds good for a Motorolla phone, would it work on the Blaze?

2) Is there a way to stop dialing or bringing up an Ap when the phone is in my pocket? Many times the phone says I need to tap on the menu to unlock it, but other times it is pocket dialing or logging on to facebook.

3) How do I get on the internet? I have yet to figure out the browser ap. If I want to check my yahoo account for, example, I can't do it. I get a blank screen with a little lock in the upper left corner of the screen. Very strange.

I know a lot of what you do on these phones is trial and error, but I seem to have more error. :)

Thanks!

thanks - but I have figured out these issues out. Now if I could just figure out why I am on my 4th handset...
I am getting one of these next week. Is this what I can look forward to? My wife bought the Motorola Milestone adn she has 2 bad ones so far. I sure hope these are hardware issues and not Android problems. I was looking forward to it. I am burned out on my Blackberry.

I notice the same thing. Lots of questions, not many solutions, and OLD replies.
I normally go to a Forum to find people who know something and are willing to help, like all the Windows Forums. But I cant find the simplest things here. I am ready to get my Blackberry back out. My wife has the Motorola Milestone and I have the Cincinnati Bell Blaze. She has similar problems with her Milestone, so that seems like an Android issue. How to I find the right forum on this damn thing?

What is it you are trying to find out... i see you have posted a couple times in here but not really sure what it is that you are wanting to know. Besides you have to take into consideration that with cincinnati bell being incredibly small compared to the big carriers that there will be less going on over here.
I live right next to cincinnati but am on verizon. IMHO CB have been getting the 'runts' of the android litter. I know a couple people with the blaze and the moto and they seem cheaply made(again this is just my opinion)
Regardless we are here to help and i will try to answer any question you have or point you to a busier section of the forums where a better response might await.

It said that i put in too many pattern attempts so i had to put in my google account an it didnt work i went o n the internet to login an i can log in on the internet but not on the phone

Last resort is hard-reset but before you go there, i had problems with password sometimes, especially if it had lots of numbers in it. Keep trying your password, go VERY slowly, making sure the right characters are getting pressed. I don't use the gesture thing but if this doesn't work for you and you wanna try something else then try posting in the android lounge as the gesture lock is a android feature not limited to your phone. Someone else might have a different solution other than hard reset.

and btw, never a good idea to post your real email address on a public forum, spambots will eat that up and then your inbox will get blown up...
