Your absolutely right but to get them to sync with your system is another ball game. I have mobileme that syncs with my macs, ipas, iphone. Ive been waiting forever for Google to do what Rim did and provide an easy way for Mac users to sync with Google.
This is not a who's better issue, I just think of how many more Android users they would have if this could be done. So many more Mac users I think would jump ship. Maybe there is a way now but I'm just not aware of it. Thats my hope by posting this issue here, maybe someone is aware of a way it can be done. I hope so anyway.
Google has supported syncing Calendar and Contacts with Apple's iCal and Address Book for a long time. They've supported this way back since the Moto Razr was popular (at least that's when I went looking and set it all up). You can get started here.
It seems like this sync only allows changes made in g-cal to be updated to ical, but not the other way round. ie. When I make updates to I-Cal, these changes are reflected on g-cal.
Or is there a problem with my sync?
Anyone can provide help with this? I am so desperate to get my Desire HD calendar and I-cal on auto-sync.
Sure there is, just a minor change in the way you do things. You just need to make your Google calendar your "private calendar". If you already have a lot of events in you iCal "private calendar" then import it into your google "private calendar". Once this is done then you can delete the other calendars in iCal and your google calendar becomes the default "private calendar".
