Root Ubuntdroid 6.0 eb28

So its out Ubuntudroid 6.0 EB28 Ubuntdroid 6.0 EB28
Now I ask this here so I dont piss off any devs on SDX, though they probably watch other sites.
Can I flash this over my platinum ROM with out problems?
If I dont like it with Crudkernel can I safely flash Vamp's recovery and kernel? And If I do like it better with Vamps recovery and kernel how do I customize it myself?

Thanks for any help

Yeah you can. just make sure you wipe your phone. You can put whatever kernel you want on there as well, even recovery.

I've been having memory usage issues and want to try something but need help. I want to flash back to stock, reroot the phone, flash a deodexed template and then UbuntDroid 6 again to see if that helps.

Now should I flash back to 2.1 stock and OTA update or flash the stock 2.2 they have available on SDX? I plan on rerooting with Vampirefo's EXT recovery or would it be better to root with CWM for UbuntDroid 6? Lastly to flash a deodexed template, what template would I use first before I flash UbuntDroid 6?

Stock 2.2 flash, Use Vampirefo's EXT recovery first, Just the deodexed template, no more.

So like the noob idiot I am I decided to format before I flashed the full stock 2.2 at 11:30pm sunday night.. However I formatted EXT instead of rfs and my phone wouldnt work. Well to make things better things better my computer had crashed last week and I had to redownload everything i needed to restore my phone. So here it is 1:30am and I go to work in 6 hours and my phone is almost back to normal. Life is grand i tell you.

Ok question time. I now have stock 2.2 deodexed with vamps 2.0.9 kernel and ext recovery. But I am still running rfs format. To get ext format should I use recovery backup, format ext and then restore data? And afterwards flash ubuntdroid?

Yes, that would be the way to do it. Make sure all the data is fresh. So if you could, download everything anew once you format to EXT4.

ok, so dumb question, is UbuntDroid similar to a launcher such as ADW? I hadn't heard of it until I saw this thread so I thought I'd ask.

It is a ROM. ROMs are much more than themes or kernels. They basically change your entire phone around. This is a complete ROM so it also includes a kernel and a theme.
