I've used CleanROM on other devices and Scott's work always seems to be top notch. He really supports users as well and frequents the forums. This is a de-bloated sense ROM with a few neat tweaks. It's my daily driver...

CleanROM was designed to be a cleaned up Sprint Stock ROM with some features and enhancements! This is not a heavily themed ROM! ROM is Deodexed and based on 2.08.651.2.

I couldn't stand it any longer. I was waiting to root until I was sure this 3D was a keeper but I just got done rooting. Nandroid backup is running now. I chose compression with TWRP and wowsers, it's taking a long time.

Clean1.3 is sitting on the SD card waiting patiently....

EDIT... It's on my phone. I like the little blue battery icon with percentage and the missing gps off icon. The screen animations, overscroll and other visual tweaks are nice. All the bloat is gone. I opened kernel manager (installed by default) but I'm not comfortable with kernels just yet. I'd like to see more dev time before I rely on one....

I'll play with it a bit and see where it goes. No errors so far and I tried most of the features on the phone.

This rom is an excellent rom. I have flashed all his releases so far for the 3vo and all of them have been great but this one is by far the best so far. Another thing I will say is personally I am not into these heavily modded/themed roms so if it wasn't for this rom or any of omj's roms then I would probably just stay with the stock rom.

Per the XDA site .. ? do you have alink for the wifi or wired tether working?

Known issues:
1. ROM Updater will not boot into recovery
2. Extended shut down menu does not have the correct descriptions but the icons are correct and functional.
3. No WiFi tether for the time being

*This is a new base so new mods and hacks will need to be created to fix items 2 and 3. I sure they will surface soon and I will implement in the final release.

I've got it up and running... Everything seems to be working OK for me. I did a FULL wipe -- factory reset plus dalvik...

So far, so great.

Great rom! Been Using clean since 1.3... Good battery life as well. I'm 10hrs off charge and down to 42%. I won't be moving for a while..

CleanROM was designed to be a cleaned up Sprint Stock ROM with some features and enhancements! This is not a heavily themed ROM! All HTC and Google Apps are uptdate as of 8/24/2011.
ROM is de-odexed and based on official Sprint RUU 2.08.651.2.

========How to Configure and Use ROM Updater=========
Start ROM updater app
Press phone Menu Button and select configuration
Select Addon/Theme Update Settings
Select Manage Addon/Theme Servers
Press phone Menu button
Select Update Featured Addon/Theme Servers and select yes
Themes by scrosler will show up, press back button 3 times.
Press phone menu botton and select Check now
Theme list will be populated
Download theme of choice
NOTE: The application is still in development! At this time you cannot automatically flash the download from inside the app! When the download completes select "Apply Later" Now use the phones power button to boot into recovery and flash the downloaded theme. It will be located in "CleanROM" Make sure you do not select Apply Now because it wont boot into recovery yet!!.

This app was developed by puertoblack2003 and was ported with permission to CleanROM!​

Prerequisites
Must Have S-Off and Custom Recovery Installed

How to Flash
Download ROM and place on the root of your SD Card
Boot into recovery mode
Wipe Data / Factory Reset
Flash ROM

For the sake of keeping the clutter down, I merged the two cleanROM announcement threads.

For future reference, if anyone is going to post about a developer's ROM, make your post version-agnostic, so the OP stays relevant. Always link to the developer's original post, wherever it might be, and never provide a direct download link that allows someone to bypass the original dev thread.

If a ROM gets updated, just post in the thread as usual with the new version info and what changed (if available). This forum will get pretty messy if we continue to duplicate ROM threads. I foresee the number of custom ROMs for this phone to rival that of the Evo 4G.

Extra credit: if you're a fan of a particular ROM, contact the ROM dev and ask if he/she is willing to create a thread here. We do have a very active userbase, so it would benefit everyone if we could get more dev interaction here, as we did with Joey Krim

Hello, enjoying this ROM. I used Titanium Backup Pro to backup everyhing before installing Cleanrom. Everything went perfect except for some reason, I lost the Spiderman 3D game that I purchased from demo on stock rom. So I thought I could just go to market and redownload but it's not there. the game cost 6.99 so I would like to get it back. I have searched the net for evo spiderman 3d apk etc...but cannot find anything. Also, when pressing power, the silence mode says "RECENT...and Phone options underneath" not a big deal just wondering.

Simply boot into recovery, make a Nandroid backup, then clear Cache and Davlik and flash

kenn, that is one sharp ROM! But I think your post title should be CleanROM and not cleanROM. I heard the developer is really picky about the fine details like that which is one of the reasons that the ROM is so awesome! lol
