How to connect my Samsung Galaxy Y to the internet using usb cable (desktop)?

I connected my samsung galaxy y using usb tethering device to my desktop. I'm using Windows 7. I enable my internet connection, but in ipv4 and ipv6 field, there's "no internet access." I allowed the internet sharing for other networks for my computer, still, it doesn't work.

=( I don't have a wifi connection, but only a cable connection. I had followed everything I read from the internet but it doesn't work.

How to connect to the internet using usb cable? Anyone, please??? help me.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums. I've never attempted such a connection so I'm not a good source for help. I would suggest clicking into the area of the Galaxy Y group and ask the good users there for some assistance. Here is a link to that area:

You can enable Setting > Wireless xxx > Tethering hot spot > 'USB Tethering' on your mobile. Make sure Tethering symbol appears on your mobile notification bar. Make sure there is enough tower / reception / signal.

Create 'Ad Hoc' Network on your laptop. And connect to the internet. I followed the steps in the following link, and I was able to connect.
