How can I delete apps that come with the phone?

I just recenty got the Exhibit II, I was wondering how can I delete some of the apps that come with the phone? I don't really need more than half of them since they're games and other random things, it's taking up a lot of my memory and I can't seem to uninstall it from the Manage Applications section of the phone, thanks in advance.

You can't usually uninstall pre-installed apps without having root access and then you have to be careful of what you delete.

Let me offer a word of caution. Many apps provide services for other parts of the OS and if you remove them, you can disable certain features or make your phone unusable. More importantly, system apps are not easily restorable like simply installing an .apk file. And once deleted, even a factory reset will not recover them. You will have to locate and flash a stock rom image to get them back. If you plan on rooting and deleting those apps, please check back here first before you do anything so we can make sure it's safe for you to delete those without any negative impact to your phone.

Hi, download an app called Bloat Freezer, freeze which apps you want to, and unfreeze when you want.

First of all, root your phone...then install an app called Titanium Backup free from the android market..with that, you have an option to delete the apps forever! It worked perfectly for me in my Samsung Galaxy Ace!

If you want to pursue this, your best (safest) bet is to root and then freeze the apps (versus deleting them) with Bloat Freezer or Titanium Backup. When frozen, they will act the same as if deleted... gone from your app drawer and no longer loading and using resources. The big difference is that frozen apps, unlike deleted ones, can always be defrosted if there is a problem.

As mentioned, I would suggest rooting your phone AND THEN flashing a new rom. I personally prefer to find a good "how to" video and follow it step by step.

Word of caution; rooting does void your warranty and there is always a chance of bricking your phone. Be sure to thoroughly read up on rooting for your SPECIFIC phone. Not all androids are made the same.

The best way is to use RomCleaner directly after flashing your Rom and before the first boot.
This app prevent these app from leaving their files in the system as it deletes them before their setup.
