Optimus L9 Leaked for MetroPCS

One thing I do have to admit is that Samsung is stepping their game up on their updates. My coworker's S2 was updated to Jelly Bean which was a nice surprise for him. Even more surprising my brother's Galaxy Relay also got JB love. I never thought the Relay would get an update as it's physical keyboard makes it a "older person's" or "niche" phone. Updates are key to proving that your loyalty to a brand is not misplaced. If I know a manufacturer will support a phone for a couple of years then I'd be more willing to buy their products. **cough...cough..LG are you listening?..cough**

if they stopped selling the admire 4g it wont be a big deal just a minature indulge.... and no1 misses the indulge so boohoo sink the boat already. anyways we have too many single cpu 4g phones that need to be retired as well theres no need for them they sure as hell aint efficient so leave us with no use for them unless they wanna start selling them for $50 instant rebate and not mail in rebate that should have more customers running through the front doors of every metro pcs authorized dealer. the light tray was a dumb move what killed it was 3 things pricing.... almost as much as the gs3 ..... the second thing was specs really a single core cpu??? and the third was the tv stream gimmick it came out at around towards the end of 2012 the tv coverage wasn't everywhere yet but was free till 2013.... really who was gonna pay for 1-2 channels that no one really even watched???? it was a disaster!!!! the only good thing about the phone was the super amoled display.

No they wont since they're trying to get people off CDMA as quick as possible
I agree, if its feasible (meaning by late 2014 over 99% of people have switched to a gsm phone) I would not be surprised to hear they shut down cdma.

They have even said by late 2014( I think thats the date) they could even send customers free phones to get them to get off cdma.

I know when att and verizon took over alltel (in North Dakota) in 2010-11 I was a alltel customer and att sent me a phone, piece of crap but still. I still have that phone though its sim slot is gone and well it is junk.

I will tell you of my experience with the att(gsm) alltel(cdma) switchover.

First I did not have a smart phone so they would not offer me a free smart phone, and if I wanted to change up to a smart phone they would have "tacked on" a data plan.
If I actually had plans to stay with att I would have changed up my phone and plan on alltel before the merger date. They would have had to grandfather me in with alltels unlimited data plan with a smart phone.

But as it was my plan was non smart phone with 2000 mins unlimited text and web. So they gave me 6 choices in phones the best one was samsung SGH-A597 the eternity II touchscreen. Not much of a touch screen though.
They sent that to me and I would not need to extend my contract, which was almost up with alltel. I used that phone for 2 weeks, maybe then dropped them, as my contract was done.

So, I was noticing that the Metro Optimus L9 is listing as having Jelly Bean 4.1. My sister-in-law recently bought the L9 from Bestbuy and is using it on Simplemobile. Hers has 4.0.4.

There are many versions of the LG Optimus L9, probably at least 6-8 versions of it including the Metro version. The bootloader is unlockable if you flash the European firmware. There's a guide to do it somewhere on XDA.

LG made all versions of the phone almost exactly the same. The only phone that's different than all the rest of the L9s is the European version and the difference is the touch screen is flipped. Still works but flipped.

What do you mean by flipped? Driving on the right (wrong) side of the road, instead of the left, type of flipped? :)
