4.2.2 update being rolled out

have used now for a few days and have noticed that the screen pattern to unlock the phone sometimes does not work i push up on home screen and it just unlocks the phone it doesnt give the pattern enter screen this has happened about 5 times?
I haven't noticed that yet.
...also when i power down the phone and power back on some of my apps on there pages have disappeared and some have disappeared from there folders and i have to move them all back to where they were, this happens every time i power the phone on & off ?
Yes, I had the same issue but ... only one time after the update.

I've also experienced this problem. Finally bit the bullet last night and did a phone reset (Settings > Backup & reset > Reset phone). It gives you the option to keep your music, pictures and other user data or erase all data. I kept my pictures and music and, apart from the hassle of having having to reinstall my apps, it seems to have done the trick as now everything stays where I left it when I turn the phone off/on.

This may have been an unnecessarily extreme step to take but it worked for me.

MAKE SURE YOU DO A BACKUP FIRST!!!!!

From what i have seen of the HTC One it seems like everything is there on the OneX except of course the hardware differences.
Blinkfeed is there if you want it or you can keep your screens as they are.
Mine all updated without any problems or fuss & believe it or not i never had to do a factory reset either. ( mus be pretty lucky from some of the horror stories i have heard about updates as this is the 3rd in a row that has gone faultlessly ).
The whole system seems to run quicker than before & dare i say the battery life seems slightly better too.
After using it for a few days i can say it is growing on me

Are these apps uninstalled or did just disappear their icon on the home screens?

If just disappear their icon, these apps might be apps which were moved from 'Phone storage' to 'USB storage app' (I think this means the former internal SD card). The icons of these apps might not be mounted while the phone reboots.

Might be worth to try before you perform a factory reset :) : Go to Settings, Apps and move these apps in question back to 'Phone storage'.

Have been using the BlinkFeed home screen version since I installed in an effort to get used to it. I have to say that battery life for me is far worse. Losing up to 40% overnight yet it all seems to sleep.
Can't quite figure out what is doing it and causing such a drain but I haven't installed anything new since the software update.
Just noticed that the predictive text suggests a new word after the spacebar has been tapped on more commonly used words. I like that.

After a day the battery life has improved ... the same as before the update or slightly better.

Actions by Google Play service might have taken a lot off the battery, but it's just a guess :)

Are you still having this issue? If so, go into security and make sure you have the device set up to require the passcode immediately when you lock the phone. It's possible that somehow it changed to only locking after a certain period of time.

It probably just needed some time to get adjusted to the new software. Glad to hear your battery life got better!

For those with a rooted HTC One XL (or the at&t branded one x) [aka the evita], a leak of sense 5 and android 4.2.2 is being worked on by the custom ROM community.

For those of you that aren't rooted but are waiting for the XL to be confirmed that it's gonna get sense 5, since this was taken from an OTA, it means that there exists software for our devices to bring them up to Sense 5 and 4.2.2

Well I sent Orange a message via Twitter asking when they were releasing the update and in response they sent me the name of (but not a link to) this article. Still no idea if and / or when they're releasing the update then.

According to the Sense 5 discussion thread on XDA Developers HTC are testing a new update for the One X which will take it to Sense 5.5 (still Android 4.2.2 though) so if that comes out us poor saps on Orange will probably be getting that by Easter 2017.

I am never getting a branded handset again. My next will be a Nexus.
