Official, this way you don't end up with a locked bootloader.Has an official 5.1.1 OTA been rolling out for T-Mobile? Or are these built from another device?

Thanks for the quick reply! So it's just a waiting game for me then. Hopefully it comes sooner than later. Do we get the silent option back for volume control with 5.1.1? Any camera interface changes that you're aware of?
Not sure if you misunderstood, but this is the official firmware update from lg that is in this thread (same as OTA). The difference is that the ota will lock your bootloader and the flashable version in this thread will not.
And no silent is not back. You have to use "interruptions" in place of silent. Camera is basically the same.
I understand. It's odd that this would be one of the very few devices to have its bootloader locked on T-Mobile. Is this confirmed on the T-Mobile version or has it only been confirmed on the Metro version? I don't really plan to root anyway.

This would mean that something like APN settings gets picked up off the SIM, then get written to disk?I'm pretty sure it should work. We were flashing opposite kdz firmwares with the F6 & F3 without issue. The stylo doesn't look any different.
I just noticed the new power menu. Looks pretty slick.

Don't remember, you may have to go into settings and enter your apn if you flash firmware from other carrier variant.

Dear GameTheory
I softbricked my MetroPCS LG G Stylo somehow using twrp recovery & this method. I believe i wiped the system file for the lg stylo. Is there any way you can help. This is the first phone ive rooted and installed custom recovery on but now i cant use my Lg Stylo. When i go into Twrp recovery and flash the firware update it says NO OS. If you could get back to me asap id appreciate it. Notjustmuzik@gmail.com
well i'm not GT but which Stylo are you using?
did you try Flash the 5.1.1 update + SuperU again and deleted just cache and Dalvik Cache?
doing that will get you running if you just mistakenly deleted the system partition.
Ok i tried it again i go into TWRP Recovery/Install/External SD/Update.zip it loads then i go back and install SuperSU.zip but when i go to the reboot option it says Are you sure? No OS i reboot and im stuck with a loop of the LG Screen. I have the METROPCS Vriant of the LG G Stylo.
You have the METRO 5.1.1 update zip from this site right? http://androidcreations.weebly.com/lg-g-stylo-update.html
after Flashing the LP511_MS631_6-30-2015.zip and SuperSU-v2.46.zip did you when back to WIPE > ADVANCE WIPE > Wipe just Cache and Delvik Cache, Reboot
cuz i don't know where you got the Update.zip from
Thats exactly where i downloaded the 2 files from. Also yes i only wiped the cache and the delvik cache. But the first time i also used the wipe the system option.
ok just FYI the first boot after flashing a rom always take a minutes how long did you wait till pull battery? 5 mins or more?
just wondering here.
It just keeps rebooting the lg logo screen.I waited less than 5min but is it supposed to say no OS Installed before i reboot? And if so then how long should i wait to pull the battery (If Necessary)?

ok just to be in the same page do the whole process again,
1- Reboot to TWRP Custom Recovery (Manually boot to recovery)
2- Flash LP511_MS631_6-30-2015.zip
3- Flash SuperSU-v2.46.zip
4- Go back and WIPE > ADVANCE WIPE > Wipe just Cache and Delvik Cache
5- Reboot.
6- give it time just wait a bit (10 mins max) if everything when well ti will show a screen saying " Optimizing Apps " and you are good to go.
just be patient happen every time a new Rom is flash first boot take time.
Ok thank you but but is it supposed to keep rebooting on its own? Because thats what its been doing?
