Thanks yankee yes we did recieve urs and urs were last we recieved my time spidey senses must be off lol

Awesome, just kinda made me think for a sec.

And while I've got you directly, thanks for LFY1.7. You know, I'm STILL using this thing? I've never kept a ROM on my Droid this long. It really is the best ROM I've flashed on my Droid.

Hope you received my donation as well, this is the first ROM I've ever made a donation for. When I lost my job I couldn't bring myself to "hand out" money that wasn't coming back in, but your work has been on my phone for quite a while now, it was only fair that I show my appreciation.

Not that my words matter, but, if you've downloaded this ROM and are happy with it, you owe it to Liquid to donate!

argh! not sure if this is a LFY issue or not, but i can receive emails thru the gmail app but they get stuck in the outbox when trying to send them. any suggestions?

I tested this after seeing your post and I had no problems at all sending from Gmail. Have you tried going into Settings>Applications>Manage applications, scrolling down to Gmail and clearing your cache? That should set things right.

Here's an odd issue and probably my only complaint with the rom package as a whole even though it has nothing to do with the rom per say...

At work we have a cisco wireless access point, When I try to connect to it (WPA) it tries to connect, then disconnects and repeats indefinitely.

I can connect to my cheapo linksys wireless access point at home just fine.

It took me a while to figure out what the issue was and as it turns out the issue is with the Slayer Kernel that is included with the rom. If I switch to almost any other Kernel I can connect at work fine, and then switching back to a Slayer Kernels makes it again non-functional..

A buddy at work here has the Cyanogen rom running on his Droid and he has the same issue, switch to a different kernel and it start working again.

Not a huge deal, but just more of an FYI for the community.

Give us some tidbitz:D...

Will we be able to disable compcache? I went through your tutorial but am not sure if I got it so I thought I would just wait for the new release. Still the best overall package of rom, themes, and kernels.

I don't think Liquid will be mad if I reveal that compcache is disabled by default in v1.8, but is easily enabled in Liquid Tweaks.

By the way, you can tell if compcache is turned off (by using my tutorial) in v1.7 by going into Terminal Emulator and typing:

su
/system/bin/compcache stats

If it tells you "Failed to open /dev/block/ramzswap0: No such file or directory" then compcache is off. If it comes back with a bunch of lines with numbers (the top of which has Disk Size in excess of 57k), then compcache is still on.

As far as my post was concerned the other day yea i agree i was little out of align but i was just making a point and standing up for us DEVS who put hours and hours of work into this and get very little in return. I APOLOGIZE if i caused any harm to anyone or think that they had to donate or it was the end of this ROM. I assure you that is not the case i was just having a bad day and vented a bit much and it came out a little twisted. The next installment of this saga is not far off its in final stages of development and testing and should be out by the end of the week!!! Thanks to EVERYONE who has donated to me in the past few days i truly appreciate that and i am really glad to have your support and have such great fans !!! Hopefully you donated because you wanted too not because i was having a bad day and went of the deep end a bit. I am sorry once again looking forward to the future of this ROM for its very bright I should say... Also thanks to the Android Forums team for being understanding and being there for me in times of need :)

I use the built-in calendar widget and it shows white on black using LFY 1.71 and the Blueberry theme.

Changing the theme corrects one problem only to introduce another..I don't like or want any of the themes. I barely like the stock LFY theme, this black glassness that took over the FB widget. I fixed the FB app by uninstalling and installing from the Market. But the calendar is a not so easy fix. I just have to use a new Cal app from the Market, which is better anyway.

I just don't like stock things to be borked just because I want to run a ROM.

LFY 1.8 should be here by weeks end. I'm sure it will be prefect.
