Here's a thread with many user settings. Give it a look and hopefully it'll help ya some. It not only has the benchmark scores but it also has the Gov, I/O, MIn, & Max setting people are using.

This mod is pretty solid, great work!

Any chance we could get FUSE support in a kernel? FUSE: Filesystem in Userspace Would allow you to mount other filesystems and stuff, very useful.

OUCH! I was never successful at getting any of those speed tweaks to work for CM7. Fortunately I really never need them. My speed has been pretty good so far with the Prevail and now with the Marquee.

+1 on what biker is saying. I had a long conversation with hroark13 a long while ago about all the different tweaks and he said he added every single one and valued them up to the max and if you discover some that are not added it's because they did not work with cm7 or the phone or something but he most likely tried them all out before releasing the final release of this.. my speed has been pretty good as well (considering that we are on a pre-paid 3g network). been exclusive on CM7 for well over a year now and couldn't be more happy at what this crappy little prevail has become.

I have the thankyouhroark version of CM7 with the ADW.Launcher. Lately I've been having alot of problems with applications wanting to force close, screen freezes and the launcher rebooting itself. I decided I wanted to go with the updated version of ADW.Launcher but I want to completely remove the one built in so there are no conflicts. Any advice on how to do so? I tried searching for it, but came up with nothing. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not familiar with that version... BUT you just have to use bloodawn's apkInstaller and flash the new version. As long as they have the same name, it will just overwrite the old one with the new.

Or if you have titanium backup just install the new one and then go into the batch settings and select 'integrate updates of system apps into ROM' option

OR if they have different names, (like adw vs adw ex) you can use titanium backup and long-press the new version and select 'convert to system app' and then delete the older version.

OR you can use a file explorer with root privates and copy/paste the new version to /system/app, set the permissions to rw-r-r and delete the old version.

@ LV, Yeah. There were a few people wanting the apks that were removed so i went ahead and just added the removed apks zip to the ROM.

@JSmashu
If it were me and I started experiencing instability with the ROM, I would reflash the ROM and start from scratch replacing the old ADW with the new. Somewhere along the way it sounds like some files have become corrupted.

Thanks LV for the advice, I used Titanium Backup to make the new one a system app and also thanks wetbiker, I had to start completely from scratch anyway. I kept getting multiple system errors out of the blue that always led to the launcher restarting. Still working on getting everything stable again, but thanks again for the help!

In my exp. I've found that most corruptions came from restoring app data along with the app from backups.

Not saying that is your issue just sharing my exp.

If you use Titanium Backup, which i do. I use it to restore the APP ONLY. It saves some time if you have a lot of apps. I havent ran into any prolems unless i try to restore app and data.

If you are using S2E, make sure it's set up and working properly before attemping the restoration of the apps.

The only problem I ran into is you have to pay for the version of S2E to be able to move everything.

I am doing this for you guys because I do not think that Hroark would mind since he left his links up for us to use. You need to get this now because if he contacts me and says remove it, you can best believe I will take it down immediately.

This is the full version of CM7 with the ADW launcher. All removed apk's have been added back including the theme installer. I advise using the non-ext. kernel by Kato and using S2E. If you decide to use the themes, your phone will more than likely lag if you do not.

CM7 FULLY LOADED

Here is a TUT on how to install S2E.

OK, flash CM7 then go in to CWM and do a factory reset, clear cache, then clear the Dalvik cache. Reboot and give the phone time to fully boot up.

Add the Kernel to your sd card, then go back in to CWM and flash the kernel. Here is the kernel to use. Reboot after you flash the kernel.
katokern_b0.4cm7-no-ext.zip

After you have rebooted, give the phone a minute to fully boot up then go back in to CWM and format you sd card. If you are running anything below a 4gig card, select 1024m as the partition. For 4gigs and up I suggest using 2048m as your partition. You will not need anything larger than that I would think. Always select 0 as your swap. Format the card and let the phone completely boot up.

Then sign in the the market and download S2E. Open the app, tap the bottom left tab of your phone and it will open up the S2E settings. Make sure that all the boxes are checked then reboot. After you phone has booted back up, open S2E and check all the boxes except data/data. You phone will run faster when it's not checked. Go ahead and reboot your phone again.
You're done. Go enjoy CM7 on your Prevail (thanks to Hroark) and make sure to hit the THANK YOU tab on the very first post of this thread!

S2e is totally free... The only 'pay' versions are the DONATE versions... And they are empty apps, strictly for donations...

The only check boxes that aren't greyed out are the one in settings all others are.

I had that problem too. I fixed it by repartitioning my card after installing s2e.
