Root Odin (Return phone to Stock/Factory)

Doesn't matter I guess. I though that might have been newer. I downloaded this ROM "CTMod 3.80". Looks like the Kernal is built in. If I do the Odin thing on his phone. Do I install the ROM last orno need to?

When you use odin erases everything and start new with a stock image. Then the next step is to flash a rom of your choice. And always make backups as you go along in case you mess up something you can restore back to where you left off and not have to start all over again. Any of those Odin images will work 16 19 whatever.

Question, my 1st droid was a prevail, I've rooted it before with one click then with Odin after the 1 click didn't work anymore! Well that was over a year ago and 3:different rooted devices! Well I got another prevail in awesome shape & I wanna root it, downloaded the 2 ff-19 images, the rooted one posted above & the stock image on the Odin return site with all the pk links, I then downloaded the 64 bit driver's and tried installing them, I'm stuck!!!!! Do I unzip the drivers? Cuz my peazip program automatically does and I click on setup. Exe it bongs a box that says windows disambiguation something? I dunno? I'm not the smartest but I've rooted a few different devices and I am still learning, I'm not also afraid to admit I'm severe adhd so learning and remembering is difficult at times. Please help!!!

Hmmm... perhaps I only had the version pre-fix... I'll look around to see if I have the other one.

Why not use half ass rom? That way you have 'stock' + koumakernel

Someone keeps reporting my files to mediafire as copyright infringement.

I've stopped putting them back up for the time being. Waiting for the heat to die down :D

Thanks for keeping the information flowing

Hey kouma, I sent you a private message.
But Ill ask you here since you might have it apperently.
Do you still have the fixed version of FF19 root with CWM for the prevail?
I guess I got my hands on the old non-oroted-rooted version. 8-P

First off - hardly any of these links work - I need FA19 stock and the link is invalid, please fix these links.

2nd - My hobby has me in creeks and drains - but I slipped and my android galaxy prevail running gingerbread was only in the water less than 5 seconds. but the phone at first was quirky (screen would light up and so would the buttons - but it took a couple hours for it to fully dry before it would fully come on and display the screen properly.) after that it worked fine, but the USB charge port is fried, don't work in a pc nor outlet, i've tried 3 pc's, and 2 wall outlet's, none charge it.

However, I tried to do a format of the phone thinking it might be a firmware, and also erased the sd card which stored most of the phone's files (data for the system and apps, but now I can't restore the phone to factory settings - The only thing I can do since I cannot use Odin since the USB don't work - is to do the Volume down, power button at boot and the reecovery option then appears - I need to know how to load the sd card with the factory files that appear on this page, since some are in zip format so the restore function will work properly - also I get a MD5 error when I tried to do this myself, I probably wasn't doing it right.

There's no way to flash Odin images via cwm. The only way to install then is using Odin.

They are zipped so you only have to download one file.

Cwm can't flash the baseband and it doesn't support rfs (the stock file system)

The closest you can get is Half Ass Rom

As long as it can be initiated from the sd card - that is the only way for this to work - where and how do I use Half ass rom?
