Root [Virgin Mobile] [Vmobi][ROM][ALPHA] CyanogenMod Jelly Bean 4.1.2 [08.25.2013]

Just wanted to waste time and space and be off topic

Thank you for letting us know.

At any rate, so far running great on my Galaxy V. I forgot to look at storage space comparisons between this and the stock ROM... Love Titanium Backup, lets me restore devices in minutes instead of hours. ^.^

EDIT: Holy cow did that free up some space in /data/media  WAY more than I could ever clean. Daggon native OS bloat.

Curious, does this have working NFC and does it use/need the MG5 updated baseband?
Just to answer my own question to keep others in the loop, this does in fact boot with the newer MG5 baseband.

I'm trying to help debug a few lots of errors, got logcat flooding like crazy. Going to be submitting some pull requests on the Git repo.

Haven't tested NFC cause I can't find any of my cards for some reason...

Ok, I'm getting this a bit closer to use for my daily driver...I use my phone as an MP3 player especially on the long rides in the car to and from work. Got audio playback with Apollo and Pandora working, I'd assume most other media players would work as well.

Had a bootloop when applying the CNE build.prop items, went back to my backup of stock and pulled the applicable CNE files and put them on the phone and it seems to work well.

3G Data seems to be flakey at best...speed is good but it seems to only be able to handle one connection at a time, when accessing multiple addresses/downloads/networks/etc, other than the active connection they all time out.

Here's a copy of my current build.prop and a zip file of some extra files you'll need to get those settings to work. Items commented out are still being tested/needing additional files. I had a bunch of items in there at first all willy nilly and I got a massive bootloop.
Build.prop Victory Galaxy CM10 build.prop with working audio - Pastebin.com

Zip with CNE extras is attached. Unzip to /system.

Yeah since the departure of G60 and Jerry been spending what time I have on 10.2 but since I am a Kernel newb I pretty much need to rely on Interlopers divine wisdom so no promises as work keeps me pretty busy and really only have the weekends to work on android but starting to pick up on this project again. As far as the MG5 update goes there are allot of issues on top of the plethora of current issues with the Rom. Managed to get things back to at least working the same with both MC1 and MG5 by adding this line into the Kernel deconfig.

https://github.com/vmobi-gogh/andro...mmit/3ef2d91e15c169a7a1255c4a89c0a1b916245275

Otherwise it doesn't fix any current issues just doesn't make things worse for those using MG5.

Just have not updated because I keep thinking I'm about to work out another issue and decide to hold out.

repo init -u git://github.com/vmobi-gogh/android.git -b jellybean

is what we used before.

Don't forget to pull in the CyanogenMod prebuilts after the sync or you will run into an error. Here is a quick reference of the commands needed to download the source and start a build..

To initialize your local repository using the CyanogenMod trees, use a command like this:

repo init -u git://github.com/vmobi-gogh/android.git -b jellybean

Then to sync up:

repo sync

Once the repo's are synced you will need to get the CyanogenMod prebuilts

vendor/cm/get-prebuilts

To start the build you will need to run the following.

. build/envsetup.sh && brunch goghvmu

I am going to try and look at a few things today but if anyone wants to help please feel free to do so. Just let me know if you get anywhere and ill give you permissions to start make changes.
