I'm sorry for your loss, LW.
People managed to get along without Facebook for a long time. Surely somebody could have picked up a phone?
That's what I said to my closest second cousin, M. He told me that he got wrapped up in making the funeral and burial arrangements, and, everyone else in the family - due to this - now have my current telephone number.
Since they weren't able to locate me on Facebook... as I had closed my account there three years ago.
That was my fault, as I had been dealing with homelessness, and the library was the only place I had computer access, until I moved in with my fiancée, and my phone that I had (one of those 250 calls/texts a month phones) got stolen, and all of their numbers were in that phone.
They tried to call that phone, and some street rat answered, saying, "He don't own this phone anymore."
So, happenstance created this scenario. The only person who had my new number kind of 'dropped the ball'.
Whaddya want? He's 62, and takes Adirol for ADD.
You're right, Gmash - it did make me feel bad; yet, the only thing I can do is forgive, and not place my personality over principles.
Thank you for the kind words, @Gmash; and, to @Revenant Ghost - thank you for the 'like'.
LW
