Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

My still says that as well, but it's only because the new device has not been activated. If you try to click on "upgrade now" it will tell you, you are no longer eligible due to recently purchasing a new phone that has not yet been activated.
Damn.

This is where my phone came from. I have been tracking it on fedex. Going to be delivered today! :D
What day did you buy yours on? Did you gt it online or in store?
Was it bought with new every two? I must know! Haha

for any of you still waiting for your droid INC to come in the mail... If you go to verizonwireless.com and login into your account does it still say you are eligible for an upgrade? mine does. I feel like they made an error when I bought it in store and didnt do something right cause it says im still eligible. no complaining though. This could be a very good thing for when LTE phones come out in a year...

This doesn't mean anything. As with the charges/etcs that don't go on your account til you activate the device, this changeover for your upgrade won't happen til you activate the device either. Don't think for one moment Verizon would miss out on extending your contract ;)

So, I just got to place my order today, and while I am excited, I dont think I can believe the CS's quoted shipping time.

When i made the order, i said that I know it is popular right now, and asked if they have any idea when it might ship. The CS rep said she would see if it was backordered. A short pause, and she came back and said it wasn't, and that it should go out today with two day shipping.

I am going to call back later today, and see if there are any updates (since my order had a corporate partner discount, i want to make sure it went through correctly) and update people here...

It's probably them seeing the "virtual inventory" and thinking it'll go out. I wouldn't bank on something like that.

5/11 the website changed the order status to: "Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days."



Waited home 5/13 and 5/14, no show. Used my last day off thinking it would come on the 14th. Called big red and it went something like this:

Me: Your website says I should receive my order by 5/14, but I never received a tracking number from you, can you check and see where the phone currently is?

VZ: One moment please...(jazzy hold music)
VZ: I'm sorry sir, your phone has not shipped yet. You can expect it to ship by 5/29.

Me: ....what?
Me: Okay, I know things get sold out on big hits like this, but the website says Receive, not "sitting in a warehouse thinking about being shipped"--isn't that a little misleading?

VZ: It's just an automated message sir.

Me: I think you're missing my point, I was eager to receive the phone, but its not the end of the world. I guess what I'm getting at is that a little more heads up would have been nice, and perhaps more accurate automated messages? I am frustrated that I used my last day off for this month, but I'll manage.


VZ: (Generally annoyed that I didn't take to well to the automated messages being a tad misleading, says his closing message...etc)

So there was my situation so far, fun fun! Looking back I guess I was a bit abrasive with the CS rep. I'm generally a easygoing person, I'm not sure if I was a little too aggressive with them, it's not their fault I misunderstood that message, but boy was I pissed that day!

Still waiting on a FedEx tracking #.

Oh, almost forgot. I live in the north eastern part of Maryland.

If you didn't have a tracking number with an estimated delivery date, why did you take the day off?

This is the same converation I had except I ordered mine on May 13th and called VZW on the 18th. I'm in Southern MD.
