Yeah, it would be interesting to hear other's opinions. I'm still jaded and love 4.1.2 more than 4.3. Though I'm starting to live with it. I just hate it when I need to resort to other apps to get some 4.1.2 functionality back. But if the recent guys with 4.3 could keep us updated that would be nice
I'm living with it (doesn't translate to liking it)... But it gets the job done.Anyone who had subtle dislikes to 4.3 like it yet?
I might try Widget Locker for the lock screen; if only to get rid of the butt ugly interface that is in its place now. Also see if I can customize it to the way I want it.
But from what I see, I would say an average user that doesn't use much of the features already really won't notice a difference. I think users who use a lot of the features from 4.1.2 will notice how much is lost and how little was added to the update. It's us heavy users that gripe and complain because it feels gutted more than anything else.
Light, moderate or heavy user? Keep us posted...Just installed the update, it is 4.3. I am in the UK unlocked. Not noticed much difference just yet.
Only way to tell if the update was 4.3 is to check About device in the settings. If it still says 4.1.2, then it wasn't the 4.3 update. Have you tried doing a cache wipe in the Android Recovery Console? Then check manually for the update?Well the system had said it was update 4.3. I assume it had already downloaded in my sleep because it almost automatically rebooted after selecting. If this is the case, is it possible to access the update files manually somehow? And might this be the reason when I manually search for the update it thinks the system is up-to-date?
Although after reading all the horror stories. Now I'm a bit skeptical to update to 4.3 myself.
P.s. I've never messed with kies, I'd have to read up on it I suppose.
Light, moderate or heavy use? I know battery life is stellar under light use. But when I push it and go moderate to heavy use, the battery tanks. I had Puffin force close. Sent the report out after that.Only had it an hour or so but like it. Feels quicker and I like the settings menus. Not tried Knox and barely played with wallet.
Battery usage feels similar. Nothing has fc yet.
Would someone who has updated their N2 to 4.3 please check the S-Note app to see whether or not it can still solve mathematical formulae. That is, do any of the menus have the 'Formula Match' icon lurking among them?
Still there. They kept it the same with the 4.3 update for the Note 2.
I'll check it out later and see how Puffin handles it. I don't use Instagram, so not sure. But internet pages that have pics don't pixelate on mine. I'll view my photobucket account and see what that looks like. I'll check both mobile and desktop modes.Anybody have a problem when on the Internet or instagram with the pictures looking all pixilated and blocky? Looks horrible and I can't figure out how to adjust it so it looks normal like it did before the update it's driving me insane! Any suggestions or input? I'm going to do a hard reset on my phone today I guess, my battery has been draining like no other since the update as well not to mention a few hours after the update my sd card magically took a Shit and stopped working completely and I lost almost 1000 pics but I'm still trying to get this horrible pixel picture deal fixed
Try booting into safe mode first and see how battery life is. Maybe a 3rd party app is screwing it up. Or something residual or old could be messing with it which might require a hard wipe to fix. I forgot who it was stated that doing a hard wipe and SD format fixed the issue. It's somewhere in this thread.Since my update my phone dies by 6pm and I reall dont do much from 7a to 330p because im at work
Battery life should be stellar if left in standby. I find it's really bad if put into moderate to heavy use.
WTF? I wonder what AT&T removed from the update... Mine was 705.39MB.Yup, hope this is the one! Size about 700MB. Downloading now.
