Did anybody have a bricked phone from the KitKat update?

I haven't seen it reported here, though there is a big thread about this on Motorola's public forum: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/944892be33

It seems pretty horrible, with bad timing to boot (late in the week before a holiday week.) Several people with completely stock, never been rooted, phones are reporting problems. I hope that Motorola figures out a solution by the end of the day.

Did anybody who posts here have their phone fail to update yesterday's KitKat update, and leave the phone bricked?

I haven't received notice of the update yet. Maybe they halted it because of all of the problems.

I had already decided not to take the update even before this happened. I want to keep my free hot spot so I don't really care at this point if it shows up.
