Root got this phone rooted wifi hotsopt will not work

ok so we got this phone rooted to use wifi hotspot but can not get any of the apps to work. the computer will recognize the source and have a good signal but will not connect. any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

take a screen shot of your phone by holding the home and pwr keys after the pc connects to the hot spot and post here
oh and use "wifi tether for root users"

we tried wifi tether for root users, foxfi, and a couple more not sure which other ones, none of them worked, and the pc could not connect. is there something that I`m missing. I don`t understand why.

Did you use the settings I detailed in the thread I linked?

You need to set the profile to generic ics/jb (wlan0)

And the method to auto

i use wifi tether for root users on my phone but did not have to change anything both those setting are set to auto
