And you just proved my point. MN 336.2, the universal commercial code specifies that contracts are binding and must be entered to in good faith. Ie it says you shouldn't breach the terms of the contract. So breach of contract is illegal by YOUR definition.
I'm sue you meant to say something is "illegal" if "it violates criminal law".

Alright guys, NO WHERE in the OP's post does it ask about the legality of tethering. Keep it civil in here, the OPs question was answered. drop the legality aspect of it all.
... And, albeit a little annoying when someone doesn't, we don't "require" people to search first before they post a question. Replying to a thread by saying "use the search" is just as bad or worse than not searching first. Either reply to a thread with a helpful solution or don't reply at all.
