It's possible, but...
The Nexus appeared in the "Compatible Devices" list while browsing for accessories a long time ago. Mid November maybe. Little changes to the website don't really mean anything anymore in terms of "it could be coming soon". The only change that will mean anything is when the device order page goes up on either shop.verizonwireless.com or the Iconic page at preorder.verizonwireless.com/iconic.
Not trying to piss in anyones Chocolate Lucky Charms or anything, but at this point it doesn't do much good to speculate as to when the go-ahead light will be given for launch. One thing is for certain...all of those dates in the past (November 10th, 17th, week of the 21st, etc.) were all either outright false or just very old dates. Verizon just shipped the phones to the stores this week.
That being said, we are closer right now than we ever were. People will say I'm wrong and will argue and whine and say that "Verizon has this phone endlessly delayed", but in my opinion, the 9th was the real release date this entire time. It has been delayed. The good news is, the delay won't be long. For whatever reason, whether it be the 4G authentication issues, the network being down, the OTA not being ready, or something else, Verizon is simply not prepared to launch today.
Now we know the phone is in stores, people have been prepped, and whenever Verizon is ready they can immediately do a full-on launch in a matter of an hour or so. It could happen tomorrow at 12 pm. It could happen sometime during the weekend. It could happen next Thursday or Friday. And when the Nexus was announced it might have been fun to speculate or look for rumors, but right now it is kind of pointless. I don't think anybody knows when they will give the green light, not even Verizon themselves. And it's not as simple as "their website changed" or "the current sale ends on 12th" anymore. There's no schedule for release anymore.
When they can release, they will release. And there will be much rejoicing. But until then, sitting tight and knowing that it has to be sooner rather than later will have to be good enough.
