Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

On a much more somber note, had a family friend pass away last night and I just wanted to remind you all to tell the people in your life how much they mean to you and how much you appreciate them. Its the little things in life that people truly remember.

I've been off line and just got back to see this. Stigy, hang in there. We can be your surrogate family and support, as everyone else has said. And sometimes, our quasi-anonymity makes it easier to unload your burden on us ;)

I am looking to get a headphone amplifier for both my i@#& :)D) touch and my Nexus and was looking at this: Amazon.com: Fiio E6 Headphone Amplifier - E6: Electronics

My earbuds are decent but could be much louder and my full sized cans could be much louder. Anyone use this or have a small pocket amp?

With an OTG adapter, I wonder if that could charge the amplifier -- that'd be pretty neat I think.

I use Volume+ on my phone and my music is relatively loud in my headphones - have you tried that?

Well. I no longer have a working nexus. Oops. Butterfingers. :(

Took a hard enough spill to knock out the battery. On boot it says Google with the unlocked padlock and will not go any further. It rebooted after a few seconds then the same thing. I got into recovery once but nothing. I can get into Odin. My windows PC is not helping driver issues.

So. Yeah. :(

I am insured

Nooooo!!! Say it ain't so. Make sure the sim card is seated well. Not sure if that could cause the problem, but it can't hurt to check.

ANd for those of you who don't name your phones or vehicles... why not?

snip

because while i love my phone, and even more so some of the high performance vehicles i've had over the years, i don't have the same type of love for them as i do for my pets, my children, and other beings i would consider naming.

that and i just haven't ever thought of any good ones lol

Well I had a busy night. Got a call at 2:30, my youngest had a seizure, took him to the doctor and was diagnosed with pneumonia. Seizure was due to rapid spike in fever, not unusual. Poor guy needed a massive shot of antibiotics, but he is doing better, even played a little before bed, albeit slower than usual. But since I had got home early, I had some extra time, so with some help from jbdan (Thanks!) I flashed my first rom, the stock 4.0.4 rom. I will give you my impressions tomorrow.

Just a couple happy thoughts for us all.

Thank you, I just found out some friends of mine lost their son nine hours after birth. There were complications at birth and they were thankful to have had nine hours with him, and that he had nine hours to be held by mommy and daddy. When I found out I immediately went and gave my sleeping 4 year old a kiss and a hug. That really hit me hard. I can't imagine that. I can't imagine not being bitter for only having nine hours. I am thankful for every minute for my son. I don't know, knowing how I feel now about him, I guess I'd take nine hours over none. I don't know. Just hit me hard, can't stand little ones not making it.

I thanked this because I agree - the thought of little ones being taken from us so soon after being given is a tragic thing.

This is turning out to be a real bad week for AF families. Thanks for giving me a place where I can talk about it. All of you...

My heart goes out to you. Maybe this will cheer you up?

Tonight, my son took his diaper off and peed in a corner! He's getting older everyday and it looks like I might be buying a potty very soon.
